On a late summer evening in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of 20-year-old Ronald Demetrius Dixon Jr. was tragically cut short. The young Black man was one of three individuals killed in a brazen shooting at a Citgo gas station on August 30, 2024. The violent encounter, which also claimed the lives of 25-year-old Christopher Dajuan Eddins and 41-year-old Wesley Fowler Jr., unfolded in a hail of gunfire that sent shockwaves through the community.
