On the evening of November 12, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 34-year-old Nicholas Marquise Cunningham of Bessemer, Alabama, was fatally shot during an assault at 271 Woodward Estates in Lipscomb. Responding authorities pronounced Cunningham dead at the scene.
