On September 21, 2024, 21-year-old Anitra Reyonna Holloman of Bessemer, Alabama, was among four individuals tragically killed in a mass shooting in Birmingham's Five Points South entertainment district. The incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. outside Hush, a hookah and cigar lounge on Magnolia Avenue, where multiple shooters exited a vehicle and opened fire on a crowd gathered outside the venue.
