In the final moments of a late September night in 2015, the life of 50-year-old Thomas Stalling of District Heights, Maryland, was tragically cut short. Just before midnight on Saturday, September 26th, gunfire erupted in the 2500 block of Elvans Road SE in Washington, D.C., a street that had become tragically familiar with violence. Stalling was pronounced dead at the scene, a victim of the multiple gunshots that shattered the neighborhood's calm.
