In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 25, 2016, the life of 22-year-old Marcellus Thomas was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. The young man was discovered in the rear of the 400 block of Riggs Road, Northeast, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 2:40 a.m.
and opened a homicide investigation into the shooting.
Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the murder of Marcellus Thomas. The investigation continues, and the Metropolitan Police Department has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death.
