On a December evening in Washington, D.C., a 30-year-old Black man named Taboris Johnson was fatally shot. The incident occurred on December 6, 2019, in the 2500 block of Sheridan Road, Southeast. Around 7:26 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene and transported him to a local hospital. Despite all life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Detectives from the Homicide Branch are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. At this time, no suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to seek leads.
The Metropolitan Police Department has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Johnson's death.
