In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., a life was tragically cut short, leaving a family to grapple with a sudden and violent loss. David Elijah Brandon, a 30-year-old man, was shot and killed on February 24, 2019. The incident that led to his death began with an altercation inside the Safari DC Restaurant and Lounge located in the 4300 block of Georgia Avenue Northwest. Following the dispute, patrons, including Brandon, were made to leave the establishment.
