On the evening of October 11, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person down in the 1800 block of 31st Street Ensley. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Kerry Terrell Primm lying unresponsive on the ground, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services pronounced him deceased at the scene.
