On June 26, 2023, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 4900 block of Avenue N. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Christen Taylor Adams lying unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
