In the summer of 2023, the life of 22-year-old Quontavius Janard Cooper of Anniston, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Friday, June 16th, what began as an ordinary day ended in violence at the intersection of East Battle Street and Haynes Street in Talladega. An altercation occurred, culminating in a shooting that left Cooper fatally wounded. Another individual was also injured during the incident.
