On May 26, 2019, 18-year-old Damonte Dewayne Battle was fatally shot in Talladega, Alabama. The incident occurred in the early morning hours near the intersection of Avenue H and Knox Street. Upon arrival, officers found Battle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
