On January 16, 2023, 19-year-old Cameron Dontae Rogers was fatally shot in Sylacauga, Alabama. Responding to reports of gunfire in the Drew Court area, Sylacauga Police Department officers discovered an SUV that had collided with a parked vehicle on Kingwood Drive. Inside the SUV, they found Rogers suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
