In the late summer of 2023, a young man's pursuit of a better future far from his home ended in tragedy inside a convenience store in Sylacauga, Alabama. Pankaj Rana, a 22-year-old male of Indian descent, had journeyed from Haryana, India, to the United States to support his family. He was working as a dedicated employee at a Chevron Hop-In convenience store in Sylacauga. His life was cut short on Monday, August 21, 2023, in a devastating workplace accident.
