On May 17, 2021, 29-year-old Shaquan Devon Jackson was shot multiple times in Sylacauga, Alabama. The incident occurred on North Nashville Avenue between East 3rd and East 4th Streets in the Buttermilk Hill community. Good Samaritans initiated CPR at the scene before Jackson was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center and subsequently transferred to UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on May 17, 2021.
