Any updates on this case?
On July 31, 2022, at approximately 2:25 AM, Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person down in the 1800 block of 15th Avenue North. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Robert Benard Lewis lying on the ground, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the prompt arrival of Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel, Lewis was pronounced deceased at the scene.
