On May 5, 2021, 62-year-old Perry Lee Mixon was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. in the 800 block of 46th Street North, within the Kingston neighborhood. Mixon was found unresponsive in a parking lot, having suffered a gunshot wound. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
