On April 10, 2021, 18-year-old Orlando Keith Williams Jr. was fatally shot at the Comfort Inn hotel on Academy Lane in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11 p.m., with Williams found on the second-floor hallway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
