In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 31, 2026, the life of 16-year-old Korderrian De’Vante Sims Jr. was tragically cut short in Bessemer, Alabama. A freshman at Winona High School, Korderrian had just celebrated his birthday the previous week, and his family was in the midst of planning a party to mark the occasion for that very night. in the front yard of a residence located in the 700 block of 28th Terrace South, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
