On December 15, 2020, at approximately 9 p.m., 24-year-old Dusharme Mandell Jones was fatally shot inside his residence in the 1300 block of Fairfax Avenue in Bessemer, Alabama. Responding officers found Jones deceased on the floor, having sustained a gunshot wound.
