On June 4, 2020, 20-year-old Corey Dewayne Alexander was fatally shot in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of 25th Street North, where a dispute escalated into a shootout involving multiple weapons. Authorities reported that over 100 shots were fired from five different calibers, resulting in injuries to four individuals, including Alexander. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
