On December 7, 2020, at approximately 1:22 a.m., Birmingham police officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at 1340 Pineview Road. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Naqwaun Torez Garner unresponsive on the back porch of his residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
