Clark Toshiro Handa, a 3-year-old boy, was abducted from his family’s home in Fairfield, California, on the night of August 22, 1984. Clark was taken from his bedroom, where he had been sleeping alongside five family members. The kidnapper left a ransom note demanding $25,000 for Clark’s return. Although the family complied with the note's demands, the abductors never showed up, and Clark was never returned.
