Frankie Nieves, aged 51, was tragically killed on January 11, 2016, in his South Ozone Park home in Queens, New York. The incident occurred early in the morning as Nieves was helping his five-year-old daughter get dressed for school. Two men, armed with a handgun and a stun gun, forced their way into the house. One of the intruders, Freddie Salgado, confronted Nieves' brother, Edgar, who managed to escape the house but heard a gunshot as he fled.
