In the late afternoon of February 3, 2025, tragedy struck in a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood, forever altering the lives of one family. Christon Deandre Thorn, a 42-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally wounded in a shooting that also left a juvenile injured. The incident, which unfolded on 52nd Street in Ensley, is believed by authorities to have been precipitated by an argument.
