Terrico Murphy, a 30-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on February 26, 2016, in a homicide that drew widespread attention. Murphy was found with gunshot wounds in the 3300 block of 13th Avenue North, a residential area in Birmingham. When police arrived at the scene after receiving reports of gunfire, they discovered Murphy lying in the street.
