On a summer evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Keanna Shabree Kelley was cut short. A Black female from Gadsden, she was fatally shot on Saturday, August 1, 2020, during what police described as a domestic dispute. The incident unfolded around 9:11 p.m. at a residence on Kawanda Lane.
