In the late autumn afternoon of November 23, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the relative quiet of a street in Southeast Washington, D.C., leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Twenty-three-year-old Robbie Johnson, a male resident of Southeast, D.C., was shot and killed in the 3900 block of South Capitol Street, Southeast. The incident, which unfolded at approximately 3:27 p.m., also left another adult male victim with gunshot wounds.
Emergency services were dispatched to
the scene where they discovered the two men suffering from their injuries. Both were quickly transported to area hospitals for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Robbie Johnson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
