On January 19, 2020, Troy Allen Underhill, a 48-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot in an incident at a Shell gas station on Pinson Valley Parkway. The incident took place around 5:25 p.m., with Birmingham Police responding to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Underhill unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds.
