In the late hours of a Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama, a burst of violence shattered the peace and ended the life of 31-year-old Jeremiah Cornell Stone. On November 8, 2025, Stone was in the Powderly neighborhood when shots were fired into a moving car on Henry Crumpton Drive. The hail of bullets not only claimed Stone's life but also left another individual wounded. The incident, described as sickening by police, marked another tragic chapter in the city's struggle with gun violence.
