In the late morning hours of Saturday, November 30, 2019, the quiet of a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. In the front yard of a residence in the 5600 block of Camden Avenue SW, the body of a young man was found. The deceased was identified as 24-year-old David Kendall Hendon of Birmingham.

According to police, Hendon had been shot, but the evidence suggested the fatal wound was not inflicted at the location where he was discovered. Investigators believe he ...
