On August 17, 2020, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to UAB Hospital after being notified of a gunshot victim's arrival. The victim, identified as 32-year-old Mario Joe Kindred of Fairfield, Alabama, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
