On the night of July 15, 2023, Lee Ross, a 71-year-old resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically killed in a double homicide. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 700 block of 48th Street in the Ensley community. Ross and another victim, Daryl Jones, aged 62 from Gardendale, were found in the backyard of a residence, both suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported them to UAB Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
