On June 17, 2017, 30-year-old Erwin Jones was fatally shot near his residence at the Rickwood Apartments in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. as Jones and two other men were seated on a porch within the apartment complex. Two armed individuals approached them, initiating a confrontation over alleged stolen items. The assailants drew firearms and opened fire, striking Jones multiple times, including a fatal shot to the back of his head. The suspects fled the scene on foot. ...Read More
