On April 22, 2019, 58-year-old William "Billy" Morris was fatally shot while sleeping on his couch in his Birmingham, Alabama, home located at 4213 Fairmont Way. Responding to reports of gunfire around 2:13 a.m., police discovered Morris unresponsive and later pronounced him dead at the scene.
