On April 30, 2024, 38-year-old Andre Derrel Perry was fatally shot in his Birmingham, Alabama, residence. At approximately 10:03 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1500 block of Cedargate Circle. Upon arrival, they discovered Perry unresponsive on the floor, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
