On June 20, 2019, 44-year-old Keith Lamont Tolbert was found deceased behind a vacant building at 4626 Avenue V in Birmingham's Central Park neighborhood. Initially, authorities considered the possibility of suicide; however, further investigation led the Birmingham Police Department to classify the case as a homicide.
