In the early morning hours of August 20, 2024, D'Anthony Dejuan Jones, a 22-year-old man, was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. He was sitting in the passenger seat of a car in the 2100 block of Avenue I in the Ensley neighborhood when an unknown individual fired multiple shots into the vehicle. Struck by the gunfire, Jones was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
