On September 2, 2022, at approximately 5:50 p.m., 22-year-old Demarkus Etwan Moss Sr. was fatally shot while driving on Arkadelphia Road in Birmingham, Alabama. Moss was traveling with his two young children when an unknown assailant in a separate vehicle began firing into his car. Struck by gunfire, Moss lost control of his vehicle, resulting in a collision with another car. Responding officers found Moss deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound.
