On a tragic Friday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of Demarkus Etwan Moss, Sr., a 22-year-old Black man, was cut short in a brazen act of violence. On September 2, 2022, while driving with his infant son and toddler daughter, Moss was targeted by gunfire.
