A man is found shot to death inside his home
On March 15, 2000, 29-year-old James L. Dejarnette Jr. was found dead in his residence in the 1500 block of New York Avenue in Virginia Beach. His roommate discovered his body and contacted the authorities. The Virginia State Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Dejarnette had been fatally shot, and his death was ruled a homicide.
