A young man is murdered while working at a sub shop
On November 10, 1991, 22-year-old Lee Allen Navarro was shot and killed while working alone at the Zero’s Sub Shop in the Birchwood Shopping Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. At approximately 7:45 p.m., customers entered the shop and discovered Navarro suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Virginia Beach General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy later confirmed that his death was a homicide.
