A man is shot outside a Dollar Tree
On May 9, 2003, 40-year-old Andre Heckstall was fatally shot outside a Dollar Tree store in the 600 block of Newtown Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. At around 5:30 PM, Heckstall was seen talking to an unidentified man when a sudden altercation occurred, leading to him being shot. Emergency services arrived at the scene to find Heckstall unconscious and bleeding. Despite efforts to save him, he died shortly after being transported to the hospital.
