A college baseball player is shot when he answers his door
On September 25, 2003, 19-year-old Michael Ryan Snapp was shot and killed in his apartment in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Around 2:30 a.m., gunfire erupted in the North Beach Apartment complex, and Michael was found lying just inside his apartment door, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Investigators believe Michael was shot when he answered a knock at his door. He died at the scene.
