A young man is shot outside a hotel
In the early morning hours of November 9, 2001, a single gunshot shattered the quiet outside a Holiday Inn on Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Inside a friend's vehicle, 20-year-old Zedric Daniels, a Black male, was fatally struck in the head. His friend, who had briefly gone inside the hotel, heard the shot and rushed back to the car to find Daniels grievously wounded.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene around 2:08 a.m. to find Zedric deceased. An autopsy later confirm ...
