A man is found shot to death in a grassy area
On July 10, 1988, 27-year-old James Allen Sutton was found shot in a grassy area in the 5500 block of Gower Place, Virginia Beach, just after midnight. Sutton was rushed to Norfolk General Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Prior to the shooting, witnesses reported seeing Sutton with an unidentified male near the location where he was later discovered. Despite this, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
