A man is found gunned down in the street
In the early evening of Thursday, January 9, 1975, the sound of several gunshots shattered the quiet of the 800 block of Shurney Lane in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Responding to a call at approximately 7:20 p.m., police and rescue personnel arrived to a grim scene. There, they discovered Marshall Hamilton, a 64-year-old Black male, suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Mr. Hamilton succumbed to his injury.
