A baby is found unresponsive in his crib On a summer day in Virginia Beach, Virginia, a one-year-old male infant named Carlos Ricardo Thomas was discovered unresponsive in his crib at his residence on Old Forge Road on July 8, 2001. He was immediately transported to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, where medical staff placed him on life support in an effort to save his life.
