A man is found murdered in his home In the late summer of 1989, the quiet Chimney Hill neighborhood of Virginia Beach was rocked by the discovery of a young man's untimely death. On Friday, August 12, 1989, the body of 24-year-old Morriel McClain, an African-American male, was found in his home on Smokey Chamber Drive. An investigation determined that McClain had been shot, and his death was officially ruled a homicide. Authorities believe he was last seen alive two days prior, on August 10, 1989.
