A man dies due to arson
On March 22, 1982, Frederick Wells Sr., age 48, was found dead following a house fire in the 200 block of Green Springs Court, Virginia Beach. When the Virginia Beach Fire Department arrived, they discovered more than just a tragic accident. The fire, which initially seemed like the cause of death, later revealed that Wells had been murdered before the fire was set to cover up the crime.
