A man dies of a gunshot wound
On a cool December evening in 2007, the sound of gunfire shattered the night in the 1300 block of Thamesford Drive in Virginia Beach, Virginia. When police arrived at 10:09 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st, they discovered a young man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Jesse Terrell Brown, a Black male. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injury.
Investigators learned that just before the fatal shooting, Jesse had been involved in a confrontation with an unknown individual. The State Medical Examiner's Office officially ruled his death a homicide. In the years that have followed, the tragic death of Jesse Terrell Brown has become a cold case.
