A Virginia Wesleyan College security guard is found murdered
On October 11, 2006, Walter "Wally" Zakrzewski, a 57-year-old security officer, was found dead while on duty at Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach. Authorities were called to the scene around 11:27 p.m., where they discovered Zakrzewski had been murdered. The autopsy revealed that his death was a homicide, although specific details about the cause were not publicly released.
